The Sosebee Cove Scenic Area is a 175-acre tract of prize hardwoods set aside as a memorial to Arthur Woody, the "Barefoot Ranger," who served as US Forest Ranger from 1911 to 1945.

Trackrock Archaeological Area is a 52-acre area with preserved petroglyphs of ancient Indian origin. Carvings resemble animal and bird tracks, crosses, circles and human footprints.
      

The Blue Star Memorial By-Way, conceived in 1946, honors veterans of World War II.
